About the artwork
"Square with a Piece of Zeeland Knot" is a rather extreme macro photo of a Zeeland Knot (Astrantia Major). When taking this photo, I picked a Piece of a Zeeland Knot that I saw a quiet picture in, and chose a part where you can see two leaves, the stem and some small flowers (stigmas).
The purple/fuchsia-pink Zeeuws knoopje (Astrantia Major) standing in the light, with a background in a dark purple- burgundy-like colour has a calm but at the same time exciting look. This dark colour of the background makes the light parts of the Zeeland knot (Astrantia major) stand out a lot and seem to stand out. This gives a nice almost dramatic effect. But still, the work exudes something of tranquillity and the colours that are close together make it calm. The little flower is turned slightly towards the camera, so you see it mainly from the top, the side with the "little flowers" (the stamps look like little flowers too). The framing of this work creates a diagonal line (the stalk) which ends in the petals of the little flower!
This work could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
