Still life: Lantern reflected in "a winter landscape" is a macro photo of a lantern of the lantern plant (Physalis) that has almost decayed. As a result, the vein structure is still nicely visible and the orange berry inside the lantern has also become visible.
The lantern lies on a winter-like surface (a water-containing material with a snow-ice-like feel). On the part in front of the lantern this is not the case and the lantern is reflected.
A peaceful winter still life, which in addition to the wintery white-and-blue colours of the surface, also has the warm colours orange, gold and brown of the lantern.
This work was created after a number of other works I made from lanterns, in which I now wanted only part of the lantern to reflect, as a kind of see-through view.
This work could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the dining room, kitchen, bedroom or just above the sofa! (Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!)
