The stones attracted me, because of their colour they match the background nicely. And their stripes ran on, after I stacked them.
The whole thing has something old, the old, weathered wood and the stones that are many centuries old. The stacking of the stones is based on the 'stone men' I saw Norway, where people leave stacked stones to sign that they want to come back.
I personally like that the stripe seems to continue across all the stones. It gives some life to the stone. The stripe seems to run diagonally upwards, out of the pile; the stripe suggests movement, coming up higher.
