Nature often amazes me. There are so many beautiful and special things to see but also to find in nature. As far as I am concerned, I never tire of nature and everything connected to it.
I certainly feel the same sense of wonder about shells, feathers and certainly stones. Stones come in many types, sizes, colours, shapes and with many different structures and patterns.
I find one of the most special stones to be volcanic stones containing a geode. A geode is created in a volcano due to the great heat and high pressure there. The spherical stones created in this sometimes have a geode (a cavity) in which beautiful crystals have grown. On the outside, these volcanic stones look nothing special, but when cutting through them, you only see how beautiful and special they are on the inside.
As far as I am concerned, a beautiful geode stone also deserves a beautiful photograph. A photo that enhances the special atmosphere of the stone and also lets the stone and the geode in it shine. So the lighting and the colours used are very important.
Hence the choice of old vintage colours: after all, the volcanic stone is also many years old.
The large amount of bokeh spheres and water droplets near the stone also enhance the mood of the photo and make the stone and its special interior shine even more.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
