This painting was created out of pure intuition, play and freedom. At A4 size, framed with a paspartout, it invites you to get close and discover the layers. The basis began with loving texts in oil pastel, softly set down like a whisper known only to the painter and the canvas. Over that followed dots of paint, chalk lines and new fields of colour, again and again, layer upon layer.
From this feast of materials and gestures, an abstract face emerged. Not one face, but several at once. Eyes appear in different places, shifted and layered, as if each shows a different truth. The colours dance in contrast and harmony, sometimes soft, sometimes bright, adding to the playful confusion of what you see.
The painting exudes energy, curiosity and zest for life. The process itself was already a treat: working intuitively, without a plan, trusting the moment. The result is a work that invites you to look, discover and maybe even smile. An artwork that reminds you that beauty often arises when you let go of control.
