About ‘Summer sunset in the mountains’ by Karla Leeftink
During a hut trip we are treated to a beautiful sunset at the Wormser Hütte. The last sunlight shines through the mist that hangs between the mountains in the valley of the Austrian Montafon.
The flowers on the mountain top are just being lit up before the sun disappears behind a mountain ridge.

Karla Leeftink prefers to photograph in the peace and quiet of early mornings with a hint of mysterious mist. The Drentsche-Aa region and the Reest valley are ideal for this with their frequently occurring misty landscapes. She also likes the wide open Wadden Sea landscapes and rough Norwegian fjord landscapes. Standing under the stars she is in her element and impressed by creation. In a frozen puddle and on knots of trees she spontaneously sees abstract works of art…
