An impressive cloud sky spreads over the landscape of North Beveland. Through an opening in the cloud cover, the sun suddenly breaks through, scattering a powerful beam of sunlight across the field. In the distance, small but characteristic, stands the grass feed drying plant at Kortgene. Its industrial silhouette contrasts subtly with the natural grandeur of the sky-an unexpected encounter between man and landscape.
This image was created during an evening walk, when the light suddenly changed and the landscape briefly showed itself in its full glory. The mood is both serene and powerful: a moment of stillness in which the sun sets the scene.
