About the artwork

A portrait of black thread, textile, charcoal & acrylic on canvas.

The black thread plays the leading role in my works, inspired by the moments of life, I hope to give the viewer a moment or feeling of recognition, an inner experience, something that makes you wander into your own thoughts. My loose threads represent growth & change. These move with heat & wind & can be laid on the canvas according to your own feelings. I love pure, matter & texture.

I regularly work on commission, using a photo or an existing work (of mine) to create the work in the desired size and/or colour.

Kim Rijntjes , graduated in Monumental Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
