Low, shifting clouds streaked the sky, layering shades of grey, cream, and faint gold above the horizon. In this vertical composition, the viewer’s gaze is drawn downward from the layered sky to the restless water, where gentle foam gathers quietly at the water’s edge. The ships on the horizon are barely more than silhouettes, distant and still compared to the motion of the waves rolling in. I took a low angle to bring attention to the slick reflection of sky on the wet sand—a subtle mirror of the light just before dusk. It felt like a quiet pause, where nothing rushed, not even the tide. The palette is mostly muted, a mixture of cool blues and warm tones just barely touching the surface. This shot wasn’t about drama—it was about a quieter moment, the kind that asks you to linger and just take it in.
