A view of the city of art and science in Valencia, during sunset. This complex consists of several buildings and can be found at the beginning of the Turia Gardens, in the city centre. It was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava and opened in 1998, with the last building completed in 2009. Prominently in view is L'Hemisferic, which houses a 3D cinema. Behind it you can see the Palau de les Artes Reina Sofia, better known as the city's opera building. At the time of this picture, the sun was already almost down and the low clouds, provided brilliant colours in the sky. The image is dominated by the colours purple and yellow, which reflect beautifully in the water. I took this image with a wide-angle lens, to get as much of the buildings in the picture as possible.
