A view of the illuminated buildings of the Louvre, in Paris.
The Louvre is perhaps the most famous museum in the world, with a huge collection of artworks. It is housed in the former palace of many French kings.
In this image, you can see part of the buildings, with a small section of the glass pyramid in the foreground. With the surrounding water basins, which were empty at the time of the picture.
I took this image half an hour after sunset, when the lights were just on. This was also the time when the museum's security guards, closed the square to the public. This is the last picture I took, when almost everyone had walked out of the picture. A few moments later, I had to leave too!!!
