During the "road trip of my life" through Namibia and a small part of South Africa, I also visited the Sossusvlei, part of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. In the Sossusvlei you will find trees that were cut off from water supply by a natural change in the landscape. The extremely low humidity in the desert prevented the trees from decaying.
Sunset in Sossusvlei was taken near dune 45. The conditions create a layered image with the jagged desiccated trees against the background of several rows of dunes.
