With the war in Ukraine triggering so much in the world and creating a global food shortage of grain, I want to put grain in the spotlight.
I have always been very fond of grass seeds and so I often shoot pictures of them.
The setting sunlight is our natural spotlight and provides a nice calm evening light. Here and there an insect in the air and even a lost spider web.
I took this photo at the edge of a forest on the Utrecht Ridge with the intention of taking some pictures of deer hiding in the wheat field on a quiet summer evening like this. The further the sun drops the more active you can see them become if you sit in front of them.
Not to mention that wonderful smell of this wheat. What a wonderful light sweet and spicy scent it has.
