About ‘Suriname river’ by Lex van Doorn
The mighty Suriname River is fed from the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest. The entrained sediment causes the rust-brown colour but says nothing about the water quality. The Surinamese therefore like to take a dip to cool off from the oppressively hot weather during the rainy season
