This is a variation of my last work. I couldn't resist the temptation to take the game with cherries to the extreme. In this painting the geisha emerges from a wall of cherries, so to speak, with her kimono still made of 3-dimensional cherries. I think it brings out the surreal aspect even more clearly and the rich red tones make the picture a real eye-catcher.
Of course it is also true for this picture that the theme "cherry" led me to the theme "Japan" and that with this work I have taken the expression "cherry mouth" literally.
This painting is definitely a must have for lovers of ancient Japan as well as for the surreal. Perhaps you also have a fondness for cherries. Or the colour scheme red/white/black appeals to you in particular.
About the creation: The lady was painted digitally. The rest is a photoshop collage of photo parts.
I will be very happy if this work finds its way into your rooms and makes you dream a little.
