About the artwork

The Blues of Eternal Ice

Surrounded by a thick blanket of snow, I stood by the Svinafellsjökull, where nature had outdone itself in simplicity and strength. The blue ice of the glacier seemed more intense, as if it was revealing a secret from the depths. The black of the rocks contrasted sharply with the bright white snow cover that covered and dampened everything. Everything about this place felt grand and timeless.

Each step took me deeper into the winter silence. Sometimes I would unexpectedly sink to my hips in the fresh snow. It forced me to continue climbing on all fours, slowed down and connected to the ground. That slowing down gave me the chance to take in every detail: the crackling cold, the light dancing on the crystals of the ice, and the serene emptiness around me.

At the top, I looked out over the glacier and the landscape that stretched to where the horizon was lost in misty mists. It was a moment of serenity, in which the view took on eternal value. Here, in this pristine silence, I felt a deep connection with nature and its timeless beauty.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
