The Boeing F-15 Eagle (originally McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle) is an all-weather tactical fighter jet. Various versions exist, with a crew of one or two.
The F-15 is aimed at gaining and maintaining air superiority. The aircraft possesses a range of weapon and defence systems to perceive, identify, track and attack enemy threats.
The weapons and flight control systems are designed so that one person can operate them during a mission.
For years, the F-15 has been the reliable multi-role (deployable in different ways) backbone of the U.S. Air Force.
In recent years, Boeing has significantly improved the F-15 and created the F-15EX. In 2024, the first 2 aircraft of this type were delivered to the Oregon Air National Guard.
