After a brisk walk through the forest in the German Alps, we were rewarded by this beautiful view. A vista between the pine trees offers a mighty view of pristine nature, with the crystal-clear waters of the Weitsee in the foreground, where only a wafer-thin breeze disturbs the surface and offers texture to the reflection of the blue sky containing wispy clouds. In the distance and around the lake are the sturdy steep mountains of the Alps, rocky and densely forested with trees. The forest extends to the shores of Alpine Lake, with trees reflecting in the clear water along the jagged shores. A thin beach offers space to walk around. Across the lake is a picturesque cottage, How wonderful it seems to me to live there and be able to enjoy the tranquillity of pristine nature with pure air and crystal clear water at your toes every day. The Weitsee is a small lake between Reit im Winkl and Ruhpolding. The lake itself is separated by a mountain peninsula into a shallow western and a deeper eastern part. It is the first lake in the Dreiseengebiet (Three Lakes Region), followed by Mittersee and Lödensee . The lakes are located in the valley.
