Ban Gioc waterfall is the largest and most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam, located in the northeastern province of Cao Bang. The water cascades down over three levels and is 30 metres high and 300 metres wide, making Ban Gioc the widest (but not the highest) waterfall in the country. The falls arise from the Quay Son River, a beautiful jade-blue body of water flowing from China through an amazing landscape of rice fields and limestone cliffs. The falls are little visited by tourists because they are so remote. Ban Gioc waterfall empties into the Quay Son River amidst a mountain range. From its height of 30 metres, the thundering water currents give you a mighty feeling. Ban Gioc is considered the most impressive and beautiful waterfall in Southeast Asia.
