The Koningsdijk marks a stretch of border between the Netherlands (Zeeland Flanders) and Belgium. The dyke was created as a result of the Eighty Years' War, to build in a piece of security. The Dutch were not allowed to flood it again but owned sluices. Today, the Koningsdijk mostly means tranquillity and a magnificent view between the majestic rows of trees. Also very suitable for photography, therefore.
