The Dohany Street Synagogue also known as a Great Synagogue or Tabakgassen Synagogue in Budapest Hungary is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest of the world after the Temple Emanu-El In New York City. It was built between 1854-1859 in the Moorish Revival style by Viennese architect Ludwig Foster.
