About the artwork

The magical cloud forest of Fanal (Madeira), with its beautiful, centuries-old laurel trees captures every photographer's imagination. The bizarre shapes of the trees give the primeval forest a fairytale atmosphere on a sunny day, but when the mist sets in, the forest changes from fairytale-like to ghostly (in a good way, admittedly :-) ). You almost imagine yourself in Tolkien's Middle-earth.

One of the most striking trees was surely this one, which looks straight out of "Lord of the Rings". I spent more than an hour there just to capture this tree from all sorts of angles. Upon arrival, the fog I was hoping for was nowhere to be seen, but persistence won out and after half an hour the clouds rose out of the valley and filled it with the mysterious fog, allowing me to take some enchanting photos.

Lagoa do Fanal is located in the northwest of the island on the Paul da Serra plateau. You can really wander around for hours and be amazed by the mysterious trees on a dreamlike walk. This Unesco World Heritage Site is a must see for any visitor.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
