About the artwork

Svalbard, the magical archipelago in the north. On the way to the North Pole. In the middle of the Arctic. Where nature rules.

No mobile phone network, no electricity pylons, no condensation trails in the sky. Mountains, pointed mountains full of ice and snow. Which gave the island its name: Spitsbergen. Glaciers in turquoise that seems unreal. Ice floes floating in the deep blue sea. Water that glitters like tiny crystals. Like a mirror full of splinters. Thoughts of the Snow Queen. An unreal world on the edge of civilisation. He is the guardian over Svalbard. Preserves the clear splendour of colour, unbroken by dirt. All around, the grey of industrialisation encroaches ever further. The bell of purity is still over the island. But for how much longer? How long can the guardian protect his kingdom? Memories of a voyage on board the MS Nordstjernen in the Polar Sea around Spitsbergen. No landscape has impressed me more than this one. Captivated me more. No book read, no mobile phone pulled out. I just sat on deck in the midnight sun and marvelled. Pure energy! It won't let me go. Spitsbergen. I have to come again!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
