About "The Hidden Life of a Rose"

You can also make a portrait of a flower. And the rose is perhaps the most requested model.

The Hidden Life of Plants is one of my recurring themes. It fascinates me that flowers and plants live before our eyes while we barely notice them. By zooming in, by taking time and observing them, I discover time and again the small miracles that take place in a time period other than our own.

The rose is such a strong image that it is not easy to still discover it for myself. To view it with new eyes, as if it were your first encounter. But in the bouquet in which I encountered this crisp one, I suddenly saw, how rich, how elegant the flower presents itself from among the green leaves. She does not have a colour, she ís the colour: a glorious, contrasting red that seems to want to unfold petal by petal. The rose is no secret, she is a sensual promise... This self-assurance is what this picture is all about, as far as I am concerned. Yes, one day this beauty too will wither but here, in this lush foliage, only this moment counts. Enjoy it!

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
