About ‘The Jacobite Express over the Harry Potter Bridge’ by Richard Nell

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the Jacobite Express slowly crosses the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, better known as the Harry Potter Bridge. Surrounded by hills in warm autumn colours, the scene feels almost unreal. The deep green has given way to shades of orange, red and gold, while the steam train cuts through the landscape like a moving detail.

I took this photo during a trip through Scotland, in a place where nature and imagination come together. Even without the films, this is an impressive location, but with that extra layer, the image takes on something magical. The moment when the train makes the turn on the bridge lasts only a few seconds. It is precisely this timing that makes it exciting and special to capture.

The atmosphere is powerful and dreamy at the same time. You can feel the space, the fresh air and the silence of the mountains, with only the sound of the train in the distance. Technically, I worked with natural light and a calm framing, so that the landscape plays the leading role and the train reinforces the story.

In an interior, this work brings adventure and depth. It is perfect for lovers of travel, nature and film, and works well in both living rooms and workspaces where you like to daydream.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
