Mandalay is one of the largest cities in Myanmar and located in the north of the country.
It is a large bustling city characterized by the royal palace located in the center, but also by Mandalay Hill and the many temples found in and around the city.
One of these temples is the Kuthodaw pagoda which is characterized by hundreds of white stupas with one large golden stupa as the central point. In the smaller white stupas you will find parts of the largest book in the world. Here you should not think of a paper book, but a story carved into large white stones that stand in the middle of the white stupas. This photo was taken just outside the complex when 2 men with their goats walked into my view.
