About the artwork
The North Pier quiet and deserted in the distance anglers on their way to their spots to try their luck. Sand on the pier after a stormy night. Most of it washed away by the sea. Left the water of the sea between the piers. Right the waves during a break in the storm. The lone seagull in the sky searching for a fish or crab at the pier.
The Noordpier at Wijk aan Zee is a beautiful walk in the rain and storm. The clouds you see passing by the rain coming at you the seagulls flying by quickly on the wind. It is the landscape of North Holland. I like to come here even when the weather is nice. But especially when it's stormy. With worse weather.
The rawness of the piers that protect the harbor mouth the entrance to the port of Amsterdam. This view the for the eye endless pier to the horizon continues to fascinate.
