Zaanse mill and bridge on the river Zaan
The bridge between old and new. The new bridge the old mill. The river Zaan connects. The evening the morning. A photo taken at dusk a photo taken at noon. The combination of analogue and digital. A raw combination of styles. Coarse grain the Zaan region unpolished and in black and white and shades of grey. The lights of the bridge the crash barriers are special suffering lines in these photo's. A special piece of Zaan art for the wall of the living room or office.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.
Dive into the world of 'Zaankanter op avontuur' and discover the frayed edges of everyday life through my lens.
Zaankanteropavontuur.
Always on adventure and looking for industrial landscapes and details. And I do a lot of street photography. Walking through the streets, old villages and city centers.
I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
