The Rijnhaven overlooking Katendrecht
The Rijnhaven and the old factory buildings. The nostalgic Katendrecht. The quay on Rijnhaven Zuidzijde sturdy in black and white the look of the old industrious harbour. Robust factory buildings the old working-class neighbourhood of Katendrecht behind them. A sniff of old Rotterdam in Zuid.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.
