Delft is a purveyor of national monuments, with 178 listed buildings on the canal "de oude delft" alone. The brick arch bridge de Roosbrug from 1733, at the end of Oude Delft near the Kolk is, together with the Sint-Jorisbrug, one of these national monuments that give you a glimpse into the rich history of Delft a few centuries ago.
This print has been digitally manipulated to give it a slightly older look that suits the historic character of the bridges and canal houses that characterise Delft's antiquity. Amsterdam may have the most famous canals with its ring of canals, but those of Delft are at least as beautiful.
