The Schwarzenbach Dam is the largest reservoir in the northern Black Forest. The dam is located at an altitude of about 660 metres between the Black Forest high road and the Murg valley; about ten kilometres from Forbach. The water is conducted to Forbach in underground and above-ground pressure tunnels and pressure pipes for power generation. From the dam wall you have a fantastic view.
