Plaza España is the most famous square in Seville and perhaps even in the whole of Spain. The square is shaped like a crescent and symbolises the hold Spain had over its former American territories. At the edge of the square are a number of impressive buildings where there are 52 tile mosaics depicting all Spain's provinces. This picture shows the most central building with, on the left, the huge fountain that forms the centrepiece of the square.
