BSA Motorcycles is a British historic brand of motorbikes. It produced motorbikes from 1910 to 1972 and was for a long time the world's largest manufacturer of motorbikes.
In the 1910s, BSA began producing its own motorbikes. Despite the outbreak of World War I, they supplied 250- and 500cc singles and 770- and 1,000cc V-twins during this period, all still with side-valve engines.
