"The overturned vase with lanterns (balancing on the wooden board)." is a photograph I took using my studio lamps. A simple branch of the lantern plant with some lanterns attached to it in a grey vase that has fallen over. This vase partly rests on a wooden board, on which there are also loose lanterns. The lanterns are in different stages, some are still almost intact and others, like the two lanterns on the wooden board, are already decaying. There you can nicely see the grain structure of the lanterns. Because of the rather obvious lighting, there is a kind of tension in the picture, and also because the vase sticks out from the wooden board, and seems to be balancing.

This work could hang beautifully in the study, studio or simply above the sideboard in the living room, for example!
