I took this picture of a thistle in the nature reserve Harderbroek. In Harderbroek there is not only a puddle of water and reed beds, but also a field of wild flowers in which this thistle was also in bloom, while thistles have characteristic purple flowers. Because this plant was quite far from the path I used my 55-300mm telephoto lens so I didn't have to leave the path. Unfortunately there were no butterflies on the flowers when I took the picture, it was nice and sunny as can be seen on the picture.
