Meet Eddie the Eagle...
Eddie is an American Bald Eagle, and he looks a bit angry, because he hasn't eaten yet and just now it rained too. Although most of the drops roll right off his feathers, there are still a few on his mighty head.
The tip of his beak is battered - the tool of a killer, after all, the Bald Eagle is not an ornamental bird.

Although I was at quite a distance thanks to a hefty telephoto lens, Eddie the Eagle had a good eye on me and he looks seriously and suspiciously straight into the camera. You can see the markings in the pupil of his eye.
Because of the dark background, the animal appears to be posing in front of a backdrop, but that is not the case: Eddie was sitting outside on the grass, however, the sun on the white feathers was so bright that the exposure had to be heavily compensated. The black-brown feathers of this Bald Eagle's body are just barely discernible.
