About "The learning circles / Feeling blue series 4 of 4 (abstract watercolor painting simple circles blue)"

About the artwork

The English language has the pronunciation "feeling blue. This means something like:
- being down in the dumps
- depressed
- weak
- sad

'Feeling blue' could come from an old custom within the shipping industry. When the ship lost its officer or captain, the crew would paint a blue band around the ship and raise a blue flag. That way, when they returned home, they could clearly see that they had "the blues," were in mourning.

I am convinced that the tougher periods in your life will also make you stronger. After all, you learned how to get out of that difficult period. How you managed that, you can apply when something bad happens again in your life, making it possible to recover faster this time.

That you can come out stronger is the reason this "feeling blue" series has been given positive titles.

Curious about what else I've painted? In my shop I have many different types of abstract artwork, among other things. From colorful landscapes to cheerful bubbles. They can be found in the 'abstract' folder.
