The iconic Eierland lighthouse stands at about the northernmost tip of Texel. This beacon dates back to 1864 and was built because many ships were sinking off the coast of Texel. On 1 November 2024, the lighthouse had been in use for exactly 160 years. If you climb the lighthouse, you will have a wonderful view of the Wadden Sea from three sides.
Converting the photo to black and white makes De Eierland stand out even more.
