In the French Vosges stands the ruins of the once renowned Château de Saulxures-sur-Moselotte, The castle was built in 1854 but was abandoned in the mid-20th century and fell into disrepair. The back of the building is actually the most beautiful, Beautiful figures from Greek mythology support the balcony. The castle became largely overgrown but the vegetation has been removed to a large extent in recent years and part of the grounds seem to be open to walkers. It really is a fairy tale to behold.
