The welds and discoloration in the black paint, the scuff marks of the bow waves as it sails.
These contrasts are an inspiration for me to photograph. During this quiet Sunday in the port of Rotterdam. On the Waalhaven it is quiet for a while and the ships are waiting for the moment of loading or unloading.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is another world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships the people the landscape it continues to fascinate me.
