A wooden deck path lined with reeds leads to the so-called Kiekkaste, a bird-watching hut at the end of a slough area of the Eems Dollard near Nieuw Statenzijl in the province of Groningen, on the extreme border with Germany. This viewpoint is visited by many Dutch as well as Germans, who live or recreate in this region. Nieuw Statenzijl is located in the Reiderwolderpolder and is also known as the temporary residence of the Groningen singer Ede Staal. This picture was taken in May 2021. Execution in black and white.
