The tree in infrared was shot with my Nikon D7500 which has been converted for 720nm infrared light.
The specific and distinct effects you get from this (the leaf green becomes white) contrasts nicely with the overcast sky.
An often heard description of this kind of work is a winter landscape, but made in spring.
The distinct colours in this picture make it special and striking and would certainly not be out of place in a living room. The whole picture comes across as calm, so it could be hung in almost any interior and certainly does not look out of place.
When making this photo, the light of the visible spectrum is blocked and only a little red light and the present infrared light are allowed to pass through. Through a modified way of editing in the photo editing programme lightroom, the actual image is eventually obtained.
Make the invisible visible could be the title of this project, where you could describe the invisible as the effects which are peculiar to this branch of photography.
