About the artwork

Another angle, another point of view. On the way to a photo, I usually start with the obvious. The vantage point from which everyone else shoots their photos. It usually results in a nice photo, because all those others are standing in that spot for a reason. Only then you have a photo that cannot stand out above the crowd.
After taking "the" photo, I always look for other angles. Sometimes it comes naturally, sometimes I have to sit down to take in the scenery properly.
Once I have found my vantage point, it takes a while to find the right combination of different technical camera settings.
Then when I see the result, and I get a wow feeling I know I am doing a good job, and the fine-tuning of the image begins.
Once I am satisfied with all the settings, it is still a matter of waiting for the right moment.

In photos like this one, which I took at the Dettifoss waterfall in northern Iceland, timing is also important. It all looks like a random chaos of rushing water. But even in the chaos, it is waiting for the right combination of chaos.

Looking through the camera's viewfinder, it's waiting for the right moment, and that moment is always a guess, as the direction, and height of the splashing water is quite unpredictable.
