I took this photo during a walk near the beautiful, authentic village of Haría. The typical white houses in the background are a nice contrast to the earthy tones of the volcanic landscape.
This region in the north of the Spanish island of Lanzarote is also known as the valley of the thousand palms (Valle de las 1000 Palmeras). Thanks to a unique microclimate, you'll find much more greenery here than on the rest of the island, including several species of palm trees and other endemic plants.
