Near the small town of Pienza in Val d'Orcia, I saw this thresher busy harvesting grain from the rolling hills.
The weather was somewhat threatening so hurry up.
On the right in the photo, the somewhat chalky soil (Crete) that lies in the form of hills on the fields here.
The Italians had the most modern combine harvester here. Made in Italy!
