Between the cities of Bunschoten and Eemdijk there is a reconstruction of an ancient dike constructed out of vertical poles. The dikes once protected the underlying earth dikes against the waves. Because of the pile-worm these dikes disappeared. I have taken several pictures of this reconstruction during various times of the day and under various weather conditions. This image shows the dike just after a thunderstorm had passed. The dike is illuminated by a flash of lightning.
