For my photo project Tilburg Anders, I take pictures of buildings and places in Tilburg that my mother has a particular memory of. At one point she told me what they ate and drank. It was a large family with 12 children so a few kilos of potatoes were peeled every day; every bread meal 4 loaves were blessed and then eaten. The only thing they could drink with it was milk which was brought around by the milkman. He had a pushcart with big milk cans on it, with a dog underneath to pull the cart. The milkman always went to get his milk from this factory. Because I wanted to photograph the buildings in an original way, I chose to photograph this building in color and then convert it to black and white, so that only the text of the milk factory is visible in yellow. A piece of nostalgia of the old Tilburg.
This work will look good in any modern interior, but certainly for people who want to bring a piece of Tilburg into their home.
