Tree-trunk Structures No. 23 by GreenART by Hubert Fenzl

GreenART – The Skin of Giants: Structures of Change

Every tree bears its own life story, visible on its bark. The bark is far more than just a protective layer – it is a living archive of time, marked by the elements, the seasons and the delicate interplay of nature.
The fascinating geometric cracks, deep furrows and mosaic-like structures that reveal themselves on closer inspection are visual testimonies to constant change. They show just how alive and vulnerable these natural monuments are. In times of climate change, these richly textured surfaces symbolise both the resilience and the fragility of our forests, which, as the planet’s green lungs, are our most important allies.

The art of perspective:
To deliberately draw your attention to the hidden aesthetics of these details, this photograph breaks with the usual way of seeing. Here, the structures are presented horizontally rather than vertically, as they are in nature. This visual shift transforms the bark into an abstract landscape painting and invites you to pause, sharpen your gaze and rediscover the profound significance of these fascinating living beings. By purchasing this artwork, you are not only bringing a timeless design into your home, but also supporting a cause for the protection and conservation of our natural world.
