In the Dutch province of Drenthe, between Schipborg and Anloo lies the De Strubben-Kniphorstbosch nature reserve. In 2000, the area was designated as the largest archaeological monument in the Netherlands. It lies in the middle of the National Park Drentsche Aa and is one of the hotspots of Hondsrug UNESCO Geopark. A beautiful nature reserve of 377 hectares and has been inhabited for thousands of years. You will find dolmens, burial mounds, prehistoric hunting camps, old roads, ancient cemeteries and old cart tracks.
