A tribute to Edgar Degas (1834-1917) he was a French impressionist painter and sculptor. His favorite subjects were portraits, as well as ballet, horses, jockeys, Parisian nightlife and women with grooming. He painted with pastels and oils, and he turned to other graphic techniques. Although Degas is usually considered primarily a painter, he was also an outstanding sculptor, his sculpture "Dancer of Fourteen Years" is among an absolute highlight. With this unique sculpture, he gave an important impulse to the development in the history of sculpture.
